Jesús María Silveyra was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 1954. Graduated in Business Administration with a master degree in Strategy, he has been working in relation with the agricultural sector for more than 35 years. Starting his career in the former National Grain Board in the commercial and operative sector, continuing in the private sector as partner of several companies working in trading, commercial services and consultancy, actually is the Under Secretary of Agricultural Markets of the Ministry of Agroindustry. Besides that, he is a writer, with more than 15 books already published and he was working in the media conducting TV and radio programs and writing articles for newspapers and magazines. He also has been secretary of the Grain Growers Association, vocal of the Cotton Chamber of Argentina, secretary of the Argentine Chamber of Surveyors, and member of the Interreligious Dialogue Commission of the Episcopal Conference of Argentina. He speaks fluent English and Portuguese, and some Italian and French, knowing more than 60 countries in the world.
